It's been way too long since our favorite chef, Allen Burgess made an appearance on WULU.  We were a little concerned that his grandmother got the best of him after he gave away the grilled cheese recipe that it took her almost 80 years to perfect.  Well, today Allen makes a bold return and sticks it to his grandma yet again by showing us how to make microwave fudge that's way better than hers.

Doubt playwright, John Patrick Stanley, spoke on campus recently.  Here's an interview from his visit.

In an effort to wake you up on this Monday morning and give you some extra affirmation, we decided to throw in a little video (our recent YouTube favorite) to show you what getting your morning off to a great start really means. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Good morning, LU! Here we are again, another Monday, and it seems like it was just yesterday that it was Friday. While you're enjoying your return to the work week, you can also enjoy the Roundup, too!

» The Nashville Symphony is providing our appreciative ears with free music this summer all across Nashville. Check out the dates and make sure you stop by - it's worth it we promise.

» A bull that was displaced during the flood is still trying to get home... or rather his owners are trying to get him home. The TSU bull is hopefully going to be coaxed into a trailer, we hope he makes it!

» Alright, get to crankin'! No, we're not talking about the ice-cream cranking this weekend (we hope it was delicious!), we're talking about the new public art that is officially open for the public to crank. So.. let us know how that goes?

» Two people died from heat exhaustion at Bonnaroo and CMA Fest over the weekend... We are SERIOUS when we say drink water, people!!

» The Country Music Hall of Fame recognized sausage man, Jimmy Dean, died over the weekend. We hate hearing news like that!

Don't forget to check out Lady Antebellum coming to Lipscomb this Tuesday! They were great at the CMA Fest, we can't wait for a full concert!!

- As we mentioned yesterday, ex-NBC funny man Conan O'Brien played Nashville last night at a brief stint before he headed out to Bonnaroo. The line started forming at 10:30 and only less than 300 people actually made it into Third Man Records downtown. Luckily some great video came from the show for all us lame folk that didn't make it in.

-If you're a native Nashvillian like most of us here, you're probably sick of the CMA traffic and/or the crazy tourists crowding all our local haunts. But officials are saying Nashville needs CMA profits to get back on it's feet. We can swallow all those mullet jokes for a few days...

-People have pretty crazy creative ideas. A few nights ago some guys decided to steal an ATM with, get this, a forklift. Intelligently, the perps tackled this feat at 4:20 in the a.m. Smooth guys, smooth.

-Frankly there's not a whole lot going on in Nashville that doesn't deal with CMA Fest, so we'll leave you with Nashvillest's CMA Bingo. Trust me, you might want to go downtown JUST to search for these.

Have a great, safe, hydrated weekend!!

Good morning, LU! Today is June the 10th and we're ready for it to be June the 11th. Because, well, then it will be Friday! Here's the Roundup.

» Tonight at 8pm Conan will be at Jack White's Third Man Records. So. If you want to see Conan... go there at 8pm tonight!

» Okay so balloons with advertising are legal, even though the "air dancers" are not. So. We've still got balloons!

» As most of us know, Bonnaroo time has finally arrived, and TDOT has made a map of detours in case you're worried about hitting Bonnaroo traffic. TDOT gets more and more helpful everyday.

» Well, we just announced that we now have an MBA in Human Resources here at Lipscomb! We're growing and we're moving on up.

» The Make-a-Wish Foundation has brought a young Australian boy with a brain tumor to Nashville for the CMA Festival. The boy and his family are enjoying their first vacation here, and will be meeting Brad Paisley!
Good morning, LU! We're about four hours from being on the downhill part of hump day. Hurray! Here's the Roundup.

» Joe's Crab Shack, pretty much the last of the flood-affected businesses to reopen, will be reopening just in time for the CMA festival. And tonight they're hosting a dinner in honor of all the flood victims. We love this.

» WE LOVE HAVING WI-FI DOWNTOWN.

» Dickson County has better tasting water than us, as judged in a recent competition (we're serious). Yeah, we could have told you that.

» Thanks to Nashvillest, you can have some extra fun at the CMA festival downtown by playing Bingo with the tourists. We love Nashvillest, in case you didn't know.

» Bahahaha. Those wavy inflatable people are kind of against the law now...

The flood left Nashville in shambles, but we are Nashville and we are rebuilding. Luckily, the Grand Ole Opry AND the Nashville Symphony decided to host their shows in our very own Collins Alumni Auditorium since their facilities were out of order from the flood. We are still very excited about this, and we're not going to stop talking about it for... well... awhile!
Good morning, LU! Welcome back to Monday. Welcome to June the 7th 2010 for the very first time! Here's the Roundup.

» Unfortunately last week someone vandalized a neighborhood of Habitat for Humanity homes. Could you BE any more malicious?!

» The CMA Festival begins soon! This means lots of business in Nashville which means lots of growth for the Nashville economy... we hope.

» The Wildhorse Saloon is reopen! Hurray! And so is the General Jackson! We're glad it didn't float away. :)

» So Nashville is hosting a country music summit right now... I wonder what that's like.

» Oh and by the way, the Grand Ole Opry was here this past weekend. And the Symphony is coming. Yeah. No big deal.
